planning your marketing photography
What kind of images do you need for your website?
Call NOW for a complimentary consultation and walk-through - let's discuss your plans!
When considering your site, first you want to convey to your visitors who you are and what you do. That means your face needs to be on your website.
What is your brand? Do you have specific colors that go with your brand? Is your brand fun? Serious? Luxury? You need to determine your brand so you know what image you are trying to convey.
Are you proud of your location? Do you have great views from your office? Did you decorate in such a way that your clients feel comfortable in your space? Show it off!
What are your plans for your website? This is the biggest question, really… What types of images do you need? Sometimes this will be based completely on what you provide. Other times, you will be trying to convey a mood, instead.
Your website IS your brand. Let’s get the right images working for YOU.
If you’re working with a company to design your website, make sure you get input from them before booking with me. They might have specific image they would like to use to build your website.
What will you wear? This is your time to let your clients know who you are. Dress professionally! If we are getting pictures of your hands, make sure they are clean, moisturized, and ready for their close-ups.
Clean your space! Remove ALL clutter from your desk and any areas to be photographed. You want to give the BEST impression!
We need to plan the shots… Prepare for a phone interview so we can plan our “shot list.” Are you going to need images with white space (negative space) for text? Are we going to be photographing interaction between you and a client? Are we going to get a close-up of you working? What does that look like? Will we get an image of you on the phone? Typing? Full length? Think about what you want your website to look like and then we can figure out the best images to create for your space!
Prepare yourself – go ahead and get a manicure (men, too!). If you don’t feel confident doing your own hair and makeup, set an appointment for that to be done prior to our session. I can do this for you for an additional fee, if you prefer. Make sure your outfits are ready to go!
