Standout Senior Imagery | Rockport, TX
When a photographer decides on a shot, there is a lot of thought behind how to make that image a reality.
I had the pleasure of capturing this young man's senior portraits. He is a basketball player and wanted athletic shots, along with standard senior portraits. We were allowed to use the gym for our purposes, but the question of where to get the shot was still lingering. I knew for the shadows we needed, I would be bringing along a softbox to get the light just right. More often than not, I use a bounce flash manually set to get the exact amount of light that I need exactly where I need it. But this image was an exception. I needed indoor backlighting. I also needed a suitable backdrop. I took several images, just trying to get the distractions out of the image (pipes, doorways, etc.). My subject was incredibly patient! I loved the long tiles on the wall. Lines in an image lead the viewer’s eyes and this was no exception. After a little trial and error, we were able to get the precise shot we needed to create a powerful image! |
